Halo 4 has great debut

November 6 was a magical day. We re-elected Barak Obama as the US President and Halo 4 was released. Many were skeptical because Bungie was not the developer of the game, but early reviews from different sites are saying that the game is good and 343 Studios did a good job. This makes it seem more like a lucky pick for MSFT. I'm sure that since MSFT knows how popular this series is, that they threw whatever money 343 needed in order to make a great game. The fact that ODST and Halo Reach went away from Master Chief as the main protagonist, hurt sales of those games, in my opinion. It looks like MSFT has a money maker for Q4 2012.

  2. Yeah it was. Seeing as how we are at the end of this generations hardware cycle, its nice that developers are still squeezing some quality games out. I think that next year's crop (especially in the first part of 2013 will be great). E3 and Tokyo Games show are going to be fun. I may try to go to GDC because non-industry people can go to that.
