MSFT did exceptionally well on Black Friday 2012, which many in the gaming press deem as the last Black Friday in this current generation of gaming. 750k units is a lot, and it was definitely due to a lot of block buster titles released in November (Halo 4, Need For Speed MW, Assassins' Creed 3 and NBA2k13). I wonder how many of those sales were normal 4GB versions compared to Kinect versions? That would be interesting to see. My only concern is that since these consoles will definitely be on shelves when the next gen systems come out, will the low price steer customers away from the higher priced new systems? I'm sure that the hardware and software companies are already thinking about this. You'd have to. Games sell systems. But if buyers, especially family buyers, see no need to shell out an additional $400-500, then they won't. To many who are not hardcore gamers, the graphics won't be that much different.
