I don't blame them. From a business perspective, they need to sell as many as possible. But realistically, if the general public views this product as DOA, then its going to be hard to get them to want to buy it. Especially since the 3DS is $170. The hardware is nice, but I think that Sony launched this device at a time when handheld gaming with dedicated devices has started a decline. The days of the early Gameboy and PSP devices dominating are over. Mobile and tablets have entered the fray, offering many cheap, quick and even sometimes, top notch graphical masterpieces. Plus if there are no real good games for a consumer to build up a library, then why spend the money on a handheld that is almost as much as a console?
