IGN's E3 Verdict for 2012

I love IGN. I love their content and I saw their offices downtown in SF. To me, they still give the best day to day coverage of this conference. I watched the MSFT conference, which was ok. They showed off a lot of new Kinect features and games. Sony was meh. Some of the studios were ok. Ubisoft was probably the best with their Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 3 game. EA was ok. Nintendo showed off the Wii U, but didn't have any real good games to showcase. Still no details on the hardware specs or pricing, which bothered a lot of people. Folks are still trying to understand the functionality of the controller as well. I hope that this sells well for Nintendo, because they are putting a lot of weight behind this launch. The 3DS is not doing as well as they initially hoped, so this is probably going to be their last system (if it doesn't do well). At least Nintendo has some decent 3rd party support now since the Wii U can handle HD now.
