IGN has a review of the PS Vita. I think the device is great, but at almost the cost of a console system ($249 for WiFi and $299 for 3G), its going to be a tough pill for many gamers to swallow. Especially when the 3DS is only $169. I think that the device has some neat features trying to give gamers the best of both worlds, but perhaps its too little too late. The functionality of being able to continue your PS3 game on your handheld is awesome, but the poor battery life (5hrs on wifi and 3 on 3G) are going to be issues for gamers, especially when they can get a tablet and or use their smartphone to play games that do not sap battery life as much or that costs $40 to purchase.
It is a great device and I look forward to playing around with it, but in the end I think that its just priced out of normal gamer's hands.
