This is a nice article about where mobile gaming is going, from CES. I couldn't go this year, but I would like to at some point. I think that mobile gaming is just getting started and games like Infinity Blade are evident that awesome games can be developed for mobile phones. The craze right now is for puzzle and board games, and that is where EA, Disney and Pogo are dominating. Plus platformers are doing well too.
I love this quote, it makes a pretty big argument for being cautious about Android gaming:
Androdi may be growing swiftly, but Cai put his finger on a key point:
“Is the growth of the Android platform proportional to the revenue
potential for games on that platform? There are still a lot of
challenges, right?”
