Google can say this due to its market share size, but when it comes to which platform that developers make the most money on, its clearly iOS. I didn't hear Schmidt mention that comparison. Many developers go for Apple first and Android is almost always an after thought. People with iPhones just seem more dedicated to the platform and utilizing its features the most. Plus the advertising and product placement is crazy. Friends of mine who own iPhones tend to purchase apps a much higher rate than friends with Android phones.
