Game Informer put together a nice little summary of the launch games that they covered in regards to the Wii U. As for the new Mario game, I'm curious as to why they chose to stick with the 3DS style of the game instead of going something like Mario Galaxy. Mario Galaxy was a much greater leap ahead than the 3DS version.
The biggest factor for the Wii U going forward will be having a decent set of third party games for gamers to choose from.
They have some coming down the pipe, which is great (Batman, COD, Mass Effect) but will that trend continue. I think that its going to be a make it or break it year for Nintendo. At least they have the 2013 conventions to get the word out even more. I'm not sure if Nintendo has plans to incorporate the Wii controllers into the Wii U games or if they want everyone to use the new controller. The only thing that I do not like is the stupid controller charging method.
I'd like to go to E3 and GDC in 2013 to check these out and more.
